Rhonda Mitchell
Principal

B Arch (Hons) / B Planning & Design / ARBV 15760 / RAIA
Fresh, frank, witty and uncomplicated are Rhonda’s hallmarks. Creating an environment where everyone feels like they are part of something is how Rhonda runs projects. Clients value it – not just for the inclusion, but for the outcomes she gets by keeping a team’s energy high and their focus on the work.
She was drawn to architecture because it’s a profession that takes notice – paying close attention to what’s good, what isn’t, and what needs to come next. On challenging public projects the scale of Flinders Medical Centre and Waurn Ponds Sporting Complex, that means being the person willing to say when something isn't working, and working out the way forward. Her service, ultimately, is to those who will benefit from what’s built.
“Whatever the location, budget or typology, what’s important is that a space is engaging, a little bit surprising and designed to best fit its context and people.”
